Melissa - Professional Pet Stylist

Hello, my name is Melissa.  I'm a Certified Professional Pet Groomer and have been grooming dogs for two years.  Prior to becoming a groomer myself, I watched and helped my aunt while she groomed, which is how I learned that pet grooming was the right choice for me!  I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and perfect my skills, with plans of becoming a Certified Master Groomer one day.  I've groomed a wide variety of dogs as well as the occassional cat.  I love all breeds and sizes, but am partial to Border Collies as I own one very hyper and troublesome one myself, who I look forward to starting in agility.

I enjoy grooming dogs to the ideal trim for their lifestyle and owners preference,  whether that be a funky blue mohawk, a short all over summer clip, a bath and tidy, or a styled breed standard trim for the everyday pet.  I believe grooming should be a pleasant experience for your dog and they should enjoy it as any human would.

I have also worked with animals as a veterinary assistant, pet sitter/dog walker and with horses at a therapeutic riding center.  In addition to my Border Collie (Ace), I have a cat (Sox), a bearded dragon (Wednesday) and a horse (Zeus).  I look forward to meeting you and making new 4 legged friends.
