When potential new clients first call our salon, often their first question is "how much for a (insert your dogs breed and size here)?"
This is generally not the best way to choose a groomer. Different salons have different groomers, policies, hours, locations, equipment, methods, scheduling, experience, specialties, etc. Many salons may quote you a “starting at price”, others may quote you an "average price". Some may quote you a "base price", that may not include all of the services you require. Our prices are based on $50 per hour of grooming time spent on your pet, rather than the breed.
Coat texture, condition, style desired, behaviour, dirtiness, thickness and length of the coat, obesity and health issues, sensitivity of the dog to the drying process, shedding, how often the dog is brushed at home, and amount of time since the last professional groom are just some of the factors that will influence the price for your pets grooming.
We have some Shih Tzus that are charged $40 per groom, and some that are charged $100 per groom. We have one Golden Retriever that is charged $45 per groom, and several that are charged $150 per groom.
